Kate Heitzler
Life will throw many twists and turns your way, and counseling provides the support to navigate through these challenges in a healthy manner. I believe that counseling is a great way to achieve the life you want and to heal from past and current pain. It is an effective way to foster healthy communication and relationships with yourself and others.
My approach is based on communication and gentle guidance, assisting clients in developing the necessary skills to achieve their personal and life goals. My clients gain an awareness about themselves, along with the confidence and knowledge needed in order to function as the person they wish to be. I work with clients to help them discover what they already have inside.
I am a highly trained trauma therapist with expertise in cutting-edge modalities, including EMDR, brain spotting, psychedelic Somatic and innegrative psychotherapy. Certified through Maps training, I have honed my skills in trauma resolution techniques. My rich educational background includes training with renowned experts such as Richard Schwartz, Rick Doblin, Sunny Strasburg, and Dan Siegel, further enhancing my proficiency in trauma therapy.
Kate holds an advanced psychedelic training certificate obtained through comprehensive courses facilitated directly by Schwartz, Doblin, and Strasburg. In addition to my private practice, I am dedicated in sharing my wealth of knowledge. I provide intensive trauma trainings and retreats for practitioners eager to delve into advanced concepts, aiming to empower fellow professionals with the expertise needed to make a meaningful impact in the field of trauma therapy.
I has extensive experience assisting and guiding individuals of all ages. She has worked for 15+ years as a counselor, supervisor, mentor and director of Social Services. My therapeutic focus with clients is working on empowering, forgiving, healing and moving forward in positive and healthy ways.
